Compatible???
Is the LG VX - 4700 Compatible with other 2 way phones like Nextel and Sprint? My friends have 2 way with Sprint and Nextel and I have Verizon 😢 I had Verizon for only 6 months I hate to cancel it and get Sprint or something. SO I was wondering if this phone will be Compatible with theirs. LET ME KNOW!! 😉 😉

Currently no one is compatible with one another. Soon the OMA will release a standard protocol that will correct this. This standard though will not allow Nextel to connect with other PTT services. Once the merger between Sprint and Nextel is finalized, and Nextel migrates to VoIP using Qualcomm's QChat then they will connect with other PTT carriers.

Oh so they will all work together once it gets fixed? Does the phone work good? From the reviews i read by other people they seem to like it. I wanna know if its good before i buy it.
