Motorola i215

Does anyone know how to get the speaker phone working?

I have tried pushing all the various buttons to turn the speaker up and turn it on when im on a call but it doesnt do it when im on a call. Im wondering if by chance it only works when chirping? If someone could help id be very much appreciative.
