Samsung Galaxy S8+
Sent my S8+ back to Samsung today
The phone is built beautifully, but ended up hating the curved screen. Some apps would have text on the curved part of the screen that was almost illegible due to the curve. Some apps would have menus in the top left or right of the screen that i had to press 5-6 times until the screen responded to my touch. I feel that curved TVs were gimmicky and feel the same about this screen. I hope Apple doesn't acquiesce on their next phone just to be competitive. But minus the stupid wrap-around curved glass, the screen was indeed beautiful.
I also hated the battery life compared to an Iphone 7 Plus. Really no contest, even though i only had like 5 apps on the S8. It sat on the desk for lots of the day and would be below 30% by the time I got home. I also hated the fingerprint sensor on the back. Thats awful.
There are many things I loved about Nougat over iOS. I love their notifications, with their icons in the top of the phone. ! And the side bar pullout is nice too. All sorts of coolthings in Nougat, for this first timer. But not enough to keep the S8+. I really wanted to keep the Gear VR kit but Sammy wouldn't let me. Oh well.
