Bluetooth solution

I have a Sprint PPC6601 and I love the phone. Two things need to improve, picture caller ID and Bluetooth.

Here is what works for Bluetooth: I tried every Bluetooth headset on the market (that is available on West Coast) the only one that really works with the 6601 is the Motorola HS810; the reason it works is you can turn the headset off by closing the mouth piece.

The way to make it work every time is the tricky part. Once the two are paired and you use the headset to make a call if the phone goes in sleep mode your headset will not work again until you un-pair and then re-pair or you reset your phone. To avoid this follow these steps:

To make a new call:

1.make sure you close the mouth piece on the headset before your phone goes in sleep mode.

2.the next call you make, first take the phone out of sleep mode and if you watch the Bluetooth icon in the lower right corner you will see that it takes up to 3 seconds for the Bluetooth to come back on

3.now open the headset mouth piece and after about 1 to 2 seconds you will be paired – make your call. works every time, unless you have to many programs open and your have a memory problem, just close some of your programs

To answer a call: (at lest until the Bluetooth problem is fixed)

1.with your phone in sleep mode your phone has shut down Bluetooth, most likely to save on battery power, your phone will turn Bluetooth back on after coming out of sleep mode, but it takes 2 – 3 seconds- you will have to answer the call without your headset

2.if you are driving it is best to tell the person to hold on

3.after you answer the call open the mouth piece on the 810 and in about 1 – 2 seconds it will work just fine, just don’t push the headset button, it will jump into the call all by itself

remember never let your phone go in sleep mode with it paired to a Bluetooth headset, your headset will not work again until you shut down Bluetooth and start it up again.

now can anyone help me with picture ID, I have tried photo contacts but it crashes all the time.

Bluetooth is "addressed" but not permanently fixed. Go here:

The 3500 stack allows me to use BT headsets of any type and it wakes up when the phone does.

Remember, that is not "official" so travel at your own risk.

Please can this user email back WHERE exactly Sprint are selling this phone? It's not on their website or in their stores! Thanks! Plus, when I called their online customer support, they haven't heard of it.
