Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon)

when i charge off of USB, the screen dims just like it would when it's unplugged, but when it charges off the wall plug, the screen stays on. for hours. anyone else's do this? im not particularly concerned, i can always just charge off usb, but i dunno..seems weird.
