Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon)
sync with address book
I am having two problems syncing to my windows 2000 address book:
1.I cannot get the sync software to recognize my phone is connected via usb, I have only had this work 1 time and I don't know what I did to get it to work.
2. The one time I did get the sync software to recognize my phone was connected, it seemed to only want to sync with outlook, and all my contacts are in the plain old ms address book.
Any help or sugestions are appresicated. Thanks!

I think you need to get your addresses into outlook. This is not difficult, since Outlook will import from a old ms address book.

I got it all working, here is what I had to do:
1.I had a nokia 6620 and when I removed all nokia software from my PC and rebooted the 5600 started syncing.
2. To get my numbers from the address book to outlook I had to export them to a csv file then import the csv file with outloook.
