Bluetooth Internet and Syncing

Just go the v551 and trying to figure the capabilities/limitations of the bluetooth implementation.

1. Is there any way to sync or at least manually send/receive individual addresses via bluetooth from my PDA or PC without mobile phone tools? I'm transferring picture and video files just fine via BT w/o MPT.

2. The Cingular rep told me that I would be able to connect to their EDGE network via bluetooth without a data plan - it would just come out of my monthly minutes. Cannot figure out how to do this. Can anyone confirm whether this is true? I can connect to the phone using the BT modem profile, but it appears that I need to have my own ISP and therefore would only be getting dial-up speed (ugh).

3. If I do go with the $80 ...

Ok, I figured out the answer to question #1 - just choose 'send via bluetooth' from the contact menu on my iPaq. I was looking for something more complicated...

But could still use some help with connecting to the EDGE network via BT. There are several other posts on the forum related to this but none say with clarity if this is possible, and if so, how.
