Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557
v551 and Parrot DriveBlue car kit
Just wanted to report that this Bluetooth car kit works very nicely with the v551.
My wife and I both got a v551 and DriveBlue each, and our phones now work interchangeably with both car kits.
Audio quality is acceptable, if not great, but it seems to depend on the quality of the mic more than anything else. I reused a mic that was already there in my car from a previous car kit, and the audio quality (for callees) seems to be the same as it was with my previous car kit (Nokia 8260 CARK-112).
Some minor glitches:
- occasionally the phone and kit will not find each other - power cycling one or the other seems to fix that
- when connected to the car kit, the ringtone always seems to revert to "Continental", no matter which rington...
