Charging problems with the 551
Has anyone else had a problem with using the V551 while it is charging? On both the wall and car chargers, when it is plugged in it will not send calls. I can have full signal and it will automatically come back with 'Call Failed'. Once you unplug the phone, it will start working again.

I've had a similar problem from time to time. I plug the charger in and the phone screen goes white with a dialog box that says charing or battery charging or something like that. During this time the phone is essentially locked up, won't even ring if called, and is stuck on this annoying screen. This doesn't happen every time I plug it in but does happen once in a while. Anyone else seen this problem or have a solution?

Same here. Calls fails when plugged into car charger but works when plugged into wall charger. Car charger is not Motorola brand. I think I'll check voltages on connector pins to see if there is a difference. Only thing I can think of at the moment.

Well, i checked the voltage on the car and wall charger. Wall charger is 6V and car charger is 5.5V. Dont know if this is why "call failed" while connected to car charger but its something to think about. Will have to try genuine motorola brand car charger or one that puts out genuine 6V to know for sure.
