Battery charging times...

About how long does it take for you to charge your v551's? I switched over from my loyal T720 that charged quite quickly. Also, does the phone charge any quicker if it is off?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

It takes about three and a half hours for my phone to charge fully when it is on one bar.

I had the T721 before the V551 and it took about two and a half hours to charge. I also let the battery completely discharge several times as was suggested but I don't know if that helped or not. Are these charging times about average? I usually let the phone on when I charge it so I don't know if turning it off while charging would help.

I never actually timed my charging process, but one time, I charged my phone in my car for about 30 minutes when its battery was about to die. I didn't get the charge complete message, but I had the maximum bars.

According to the Motorola's website tip, you are supposed to charge the brand new battery for 12 to 24 hours for the first time, then let it be dead completely. Repeat it two more times with a charging time of 12 hours.

If you want a shorter charging time, do turn off the phone while charging. According to the manual, you should expect the charging time to be longer as it gets older.
