Address book organization mysteries!
I cannot for the life of me figure out how my phone is organizing its address book. Almost all the numbers of businesses (the Acura dealer, Apple computers, United Airlines, etc.) appear at the top of the list (in alphabetical order), and then, after they're listed, come all my "people" numbers in alphabetical order. The strange thing is that there's no correlation, in other words the United Airlines number isn't listed as a "work" number, just a "main" number, just like Fred Schmenge's number is listed. Looking at the details there's no difference in any of the parameters, yet somehow my phone knows that some are businesses and others are just people. And I don't want that; I want to be able to see all the numbers in simple alphabetical order. I've set the CATEGORIES to "ALL" and the "SORT BY" to "NAME" and the VIEW BY to "LIST" and VIEW to both "PRIMARY CONTACTS" and "ALL CONTACTS"; no dice; it stays segregated that way. The really big drag here is that all the business numbers can't be searched; typing in a letter only searches amongst the bottom list (the "people" one.). I got these numbers in in the first place by importing them from my Mac OSX address book via iSync, but can't see anything looking at that address book either that would explain this. HELP! Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
G

To set the category for each address book entry:
Go to Menu, Select Address Book, Scroll to the entry that you want to change the catagory, Select View (usually right soft key), Edit, scroll down to category (2nd from top), move right or left to set category type or select change, then select Done.
