V551 Coverage Mystery
In November, I migrated to Cingular and eventually purchased a Motorola V551. I also purchased two V220's for my wife and son. All three phones seemed to have decent coverage at home for the first week or so, but all three are having major problems now. None can make or receive calls.
Trying to isoloate the problem, I unlocked my Nokia 3595 and popped in my Cingular SIM. Guess what? Three bars of signal and no problems making or receiving calls.
So my Cingular SIM works...

Just spent an hour on the phone with Cingular. They tried a variety of things, transferred me to more technical folks, then scratched their collective heads and offered to swap my phone by mail.
Now one of my V220's has an OK signal, while my V551 has none.
