ATTWS 551 Voice dial
Hi, I read the reviews here and decided to get a v551 through a ATT business plan. Nice looking phone. It's got battery issues, like everyone said, so no surprise there. But, am having a problem with the voice dial feature.
Some names, it connects fine. Others, it refuses to or takes something like ten tries. Anyone experience this, and if so, figure out a solution?
I am sort of missing the simplicity of my Nokia TDMA. Sigh...

I figured out the answer. I'd saved the entries to the SIM card and the phone. I'd used a trick I read on Howard Forums. I categorized all my entries on the phone as "Personal." When you copy them to the SIM, they're automatically categorized as "General."
Then, I chose Categories in the phonebook menu and chose "Personal" only. Nifty little trick that prevents all the SIM and phone entries showing up in the phonebook as multiple entries.
But, what it also does, for who knows what reason, is that it screws up voicedial.
So, I went and deleted all the entries on the SIM (one by one--couldn't find a delete all option, anyone know of one?), and now voicedial works fine.
Well, figured I'd share this as a learning experience....
