Mute voice record initiation during calls?

When you want to record a conversation during a call, all you have to do is press and hold the left outside "voice record" button.

When you press it to initiate the record function, it makes a beep noise to the caller on the other end. Is there any way to disable this beep so the caller is not prompted that the conversation is being recorded?

Any ideas?

Well, If you are in the US (and several other countries) it is illegal to record any conversation without the other party's consent.

Thanks for the advice, but I already know this.

As far as being unethical, that depends on how often your wife says something and then says "I didn't say that!" This is for recording the wife and then you play it back for her and ask "Now, what did you say?" Maybe your not married or have one of those few wives that never deny saying anything.

Also, it's not illegal, it's just inadmissible in court. The beep is useless anyway, because even though they hear the beep, it's still not admissible. You have to verbally tell them it is being recorded before you can use it.

Anyway, I guess you don't have a solution to my question. Anyone else, please?

That is the funniest thing I've read/heard all day! You just made my day!

I hope, for your sake, that someone does have a solution.

By the way, it is illegal. It's called wiretapping.

Remember Linda Tripp? She taped her conversations with Monika Lewinsky. Linda's trial ended with her aquittal, but, she did spend a long time in court.
