I think all motorolas do that. My T720 did, so did my V710 and now my V551 does it too. I think this is completely normal. Even though it seems like it's completely charged, if you place a call (or send a txt etc) it'll go back to where it should be (1 or 2 bars)

I think you should keep on charging it until it says "Charging complete." If it does not say it, then guess what? It's not complete. When you disconnect the charger and you see the battery bar, it's kind of buggy because it's not right.

Thx for all of you guys feedback. I figured out so far by trying and following you guys advices as follows:

1. To see "Charging" and "Charging Completed", you have to turn off the Phone during the charging

2. Battery bar (in external display) will be in 3 bars if you keep charging.

3. Related to #3, even if the battery bar (in external display) only shows 1 bar, another battery bar in the internal display and battery meter in phone status menu will show full charge (3 bars and 6 bars).


So, to fully charge, I think we have to make sure that external battery bar display 3 bars.

Hopefully, everyone keep charging, so we can experience a longer battery life. 🙂

I have been chargine my phone while at work with the phone turned on. After reading these threads I went and looked at my phone and it said "charge complete" and showed me a full 3 bars.
