Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557
piece of junk - lots of problems
my gf has this phone and she got it thru letstalk.com - the first phone she got would not connect to the internet at all, so she had to get a new one from letstalk. they only have a 30-day warranty - after that, you're on you're own with the manufacturer.
now it's been 3 months and the replacement phone is really having problems:
*the phone won't charge using the wall charger anymore
*when you use the car charger, it will only charge to one bar and then die after 5 minutes
*it receives text messages and calls from cingular DAYS later (so it's obviously not communcating with the network properly)
*the alarm clock will stay on even if you turn it off
*drops calls at an amazing rate. my nokia (on the same network, in the same...

well we sent this phone to moto and got it back a week later, and they seem to have fixed it, so i guess somewhere there knows what they are doing! not sure if it got a firmware update or what but it no longer drops calls, my gf gets all calls and texts, and it will actually charge.

will you tell me the process that you went through to send the phone to motorola? i got a v551 that was not activated to cingular and now it won't acess the internet. i'd like to know if i could get my phone fixed like you dide. thanks.

i have had already 2 replacements on my V330. i hate this phone witha passion. i am waiting for tmopbile to get some better phones. i am watching for the SK3 which comes out in April 2006. i have had charging problems and dropping calls. i also getting a lot of peolpe on the other line that cant hear me. i get a lot of echoes. i use to have a A630 before this and i truly hate Motorola right now. every phone i get that is a motorola has so many problems.
