Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557

I recently purchased a USB bluetooth adapter for my computer. I am able to send and recieve audio, video, and photos to and from my phone through the program that came with my phone (Belkin). I am having trouble sending games and software to my phone. To transfer files, I click and drag the file I want to one of three folders (video, audio, and images). I am trying to find a way to send games to my phone, because there is no folder for games, and I do not know how to get them on the phone. I have also downloaded "MobilEDIT!" a program to send files, but I cannot get this to work either. Any suggestions to help me send games to my phone?

I got a piece of cell phone data transfer suite called Handset manager software from CompUSA in Houston Texas! I am surprised about this software's feature!
It let me to clip MP3 music and set as ringtone, and I am do video with special effect too! The data cable in the software package also charges my phone, and allow me to manage my contact detail, pictures, or use phone to go on Internet!
It is something good with reasonable price, you don't want to miss it if you own a V300, V400, V551, V600....etc. They also offer package for Razr and Sprint phones. 🙂

What's the deal with the photo caller id? Some people say that it does show up when someone calls and you simply open up the phone to see their number and small pic beside it....and some people say it's not even there. Somebody who has this phone, please clarify

Anyone have ideas on where to find the complete skins pkgs for the V551. Not just wallpapers the whole theme style skins, or even better a way to make them myself?

I am having a hard time picking a phone! I had a Motorola v300 for the past year and a half and it finally died. It was okay - there were a lot of bugs, the sound quality wasn't that great and that is important to me, but it had cool features like ringtones - and I like that.

I was told the v330 is a MUCH IMPROVED version of the 300...that the sound quality is a lot better and a lot of the bugs have been worked out...but I decided to try a new phone altogether, and take a break from Motorola (I had the v70 before the v300).

So, I tried the Samsung e335 - hated it. Now I have the e635 and am not a fan of it either.....

I am waiting for the Nokia 6101 but after reading all the reviews about it versus the v330 - I am wondering if I sh...

I am looking for a bluetooh headset for v551. I looked at hs850 and jabra bt BT250. Jabra looks like to be more confortable , does anyone has any of these .

How is the sound quality on jabra compared to hs820??

i'm so mad right now. i have a Motorola V555 and i cant figure out how to delete pictures or videos taken by myself. or sounds for that matter. can anyone help?

ok, I have a motorola V505 which is for AT&T. I unlocked it using the subsidy passcode to use for cingular. text, pic and video messaging is not working. Is there a fix for that or am I just SOL?

Are there any differences other than the color?

Hi, my friend tells me that she gets a cell phone management tool from CompUSA store in Dallas Texas, and this is the only software (cable included) that can let me to upload or edit MP3 ringtone with 100% original MP3 quality, even clip different MP3 into 1 MP3 ringtone, or also edit video with special effect.
The software box includes data cable, a handset manager software, install manu, free ringtone and wallpapers, and so on.
I check 3 CompUSA stores and they just told me all handset manager software are sold out!?
I have tried mobile phone tool before, but the MP3 quality is not acceptable, which made me very disappointed. 😢
I really want this product badly, can anyone tell me where I can buy one for my phone in Jersey or NYC...

About 2 weeks ago was when this all started,my 2 month old V551's reception went from 5 bars to 1 bar. I called Cingular CS and they had a refurbished replacement sent out which I received Tuesday of this week.
I put my SIM card and fully charged battery into the replacement turned it on,indicated full signal and noticed the signal bars reacted very quickly to any movement to the phone.
I immediately placed a call to my wife's V551(bought same day) and had a 3 minute conversation after which I hung up and then the signal went POOF!! Died just like my original phone except this phone wasn't out of the box 5 minutes.
I called Cingular CS again(via landline phone) spent about 40 mins on this call to get a 2nd replacement.

I was curious as to what this icon I see appearing on my phone is.

Today, I had just picked up my phone and noticed the new icon. Right next to where the reception bars are in the top left corner, the icon just randomly appeared today. I've had the phone for a few months now but this icon has never showed up before. It's an "E" that's atop a green and red line. What is this icon and what the heck does it mean?

I looked it up in the manual and it's not in there. Unless I accidently pressed something on my phone, I'm pretty sure it just showed up there by itself.

Any help appreciated.

Cingular is replacing my LG4050 which has been horrendous - constant dropped calls, unconnected calls, bad transmissions. I threatened to go to Verizon and terminate my contract early and they offered me the V220 to see if that was better.

So far (one day) the Motorola V220 does perform noticeably better, but the V551 is a closer match to my LG in features. The 551 has a higher user rating at this site, but there seem to be more people talking about problems with it. What do you all think?

I don't need anything particularly fancy,esp regarding multimedia, ringtones, etc. I'm a basic business/family user - solid connections are most critical to me.

I was recently issued a V551 on Cingular from my company. I've always had Verizon and to get a PRL update would dial *228.
My question is, does a GSM phone need to be updated periodically with a PRL or similar, in particular the V551 on Cingular?

Also, is there any way to reassign the right soft key on the main menu? Right now it shows Video Cam & I don't see how to reasign like I did the left soft key?

I just got my first v551 and would like to add additional contact categories but I cannot seem to find any way to do that. Can it be done and if so can someone tell me how.
