Can you hear me now?
I purchased V620 a month ago and after working through some of the initial bugs with Cingular (receiving a text message icon when a voicemail is delivered etc.), I have noticed a new issue. About once a day for at least one call, if not a series of calls (either sent or received), I will be able to hear the other person but they cannot hear me. At the time of any of these calls, the signal strength appears at 2 bars or greater.
Problem examples:
I can receive a call and the other person cannot hear me, but I can hear them and they can recognize that I am pressing numbers, and then after hanging up, I call them back and they can hear me fine,
or
I can receive a call and the other person cannot hear me, but I can hear them and they can recognize that I am pressing numbers, and then after hanging up, I call them back and they still can’t hear me
or
I can place a call and the other person cannot hear me, but I can hear them and they can recognize that I am pressing numbers, and then after hanging up, I call back and they can hear me
or
I can place a call and the other person cannot hear me, but I can hear them and they can recognize that I am pressing numbers, and then after hanging up, I call back and they still can’t hear me
The only way I can correct this problem, at least temporarily, is to turn the phone off, pull out the battery and the SIM card; after a minute replace the SIM card and the battery, power up the phone and it all works fine (at least for a while).
Please let me know if you have any ideas what is causing this problem or how to fix it?
