yeah i to would definatly not go with Verizon. something to me seems really fishy about verizon, maybe its their cripled phones or maybe its that their being sued a lot of money cause of their cripled phones. i think that law suit will totally take down verizon and will eventually be no more. maybe its just me but i really dont feel right with them.

So it's just because of the cripled bluetooth that you have a problem with them?
I think the outcome of the settlement from that will definately hurt them but wont put them out of business. At the very most I could see them merging with someone like Nextel.

Im no fan of Verizon Wireless, but in all truths, I believe they are going to win this case, and even if not that, at the least settle it somehow. Maybe with discounts on the next phone V710 owners buy, or something. Yeah, that's alot of money to be lost. But they shouldnt have to do that.

i dont know if verizon will lose the case, i dont know if they advertised bluetooth features that were actually gimped or not. if they didnt advertise the wonderful features they raped, they might be ok. but i would bet they'll lose some money (being class action) to the owners for not advertising its gimpyness.

But really though, what company that manufacturer whatever type of product actually advertises the negative aspects of their product(s).

it's not a negatice aspect to say "Bluetooth Headset compatable!" if it said only that, then they would have legal precident that it does what is advertised. if unspecified people would think it can do all bluetooth functions.
