OFFICIAL PRICES FROM CINGULAR

Disciple247365

I know that there are going to be many who are skeptical when I say that I work for Cingular & have access to the February price sheet that just came out today for the Carolinas market, but here goes...

$399.99 w/ 2yr contract
$449.99 w/ 1yr contract
$499.99 w/ no contract

This sheet lists prices for 2/1 to 2/13, & indicates that the s710 is not currently available (usually this means that it will be available on the next price sheet, so that means it will be out late Feb).

If you don't believe me, then you'll see when the phones hit stores... OR....

For you major-league hardcore skeptics, feel free to email me or reach me on AIM (Disple247365) & I'll be more than happy to forward a copy of of the handset pricing sheet to you (...

Log in to CSP (Cingular Sales Portal). You'll see that the price list for the 1st half of Feb. has been released.

actually i wouldnt knock the winners of that contest, out here in the LA market there were a grip of people trying to win those phones and they onlt gave away 173. The phones availible to win were gone in about 20 hours. I got one though 😎

I recall this being asked quite awhile ago and someone responded that it WILL. Not sure if it was true or not, but we'll see when it shows up.

Yes, it will play mp3 ringtones. The phone functions as an Mp3 player as well. With the 32mb Memstickduo that comes with it, you should be able to store about 8 full length songs. The SE rep that comes to my store demonstrated the MP3 player for me on his prototype. Really slick 😁

Great!!!!! I'm thinking if it'll hold about 8 full length mp3's, you could pack more on there if you just took a sampling of your favorite and used the shorter version for "ringtones", eh???

Yesterday when I logged into CSP there was a link on the right side of the main page for 2/1-2/15 agent price list. Since I am in the Carolinas market, the list for my market is the only one that is shown. It is possible that if you are in a different market, then the early Feb price list has not yet been released. I was surprised to see it yesterday, b/c usually we don't get the list until the last day or two of the month. For whatever reason, they released it a bit earlier this time.

No particular heading... I just logged in, & saw the link to the right of the "required reading" at the bottom of the main page. So, bottom right corner, I guess.

Each individual market has its own pricelist. In many cases, the prices are about the same market to market, but there are sometimes small variances. I was speculating earlier that perhaps not all markets' pricelists are posted simultaneously. All I have access to or can speak for is the Carolinas market.

I have no idea how many markets there are. Think of the "home plans". Each home plan allows usage within your home market. Although I've got a N-wide plan, if I had a home plan it would include just NC & SC. I would be on-network-roaming if I were to try to use my phone in another state (out of market) if I had a home plan. When I lived in CA, my market included CA, & the southern tip of NV including Vegas. Just find out what area your home plan covers, then you'll know what your market is. On a side note, its nice that Cingular is finally trying to get away from the home plans & make everything national.

😲 Dang! I guess this means I don't know everything! Oh well. 🤣
Maybe prices are different there. I don't know. I do know that where I am, the market is NC & SC combined.

I still think that this phone is overpriced, just like the Razor. It has limitations such as memory and that incovenient case. The only good thing is the CCD camera. If Motorola had the good business sense to use CCD lenses, they would not loose market share. I just hope that they place rebates (instant hopefully) and better choices for belt clips. Just my opinion, dont have to bash me about it. 😁

Any phone has memory limitations in one way or another. You can buy Memory stick duos up to 128mb. The only limitation is how much money one spends on memory sticks 😛 The Razr that you compare it to is much more limited in memory. It doesn't come anywhere near the 32mb that the s710 comes with, and unless I'm mistaken, the razr doesn't have expandable memory like the s710. 🙂
