Yeah that's all I was really wondering, cause I was told by a Cingular person at the store that I wouldn't be able to buy a new phone from them until my contract was up, I found that to be kind of ridiculous, but I figured okay, tough **** I guess. I was thinking I'd just get it from a third party carrier.

I think I'd much rather buy it third party though cause then I wouldnt have that Cingular branding and what not all over the phone. Not that its really important, but whatever.

you can always just buy it, but it'll cost you 500 bucks. cant he just restart his plan and get that 100 off it? so his contract end would just be like a month later? do you still fall in the 30-day grace peroid when you can kill service?

Unfortunately I dont fall under the 30 day trial period any longer ☹️ But it would make sense to be able to upgrade and just have them extend my contract so it'll equal out 2 years again.

But if the case is as is, I'll just buy the phone as I have to 😁
