EDGE/GPRS
Maybe somebody could answer this for me because anything forum outside of this one is a bunch of arrogant, self indulged assholes, at least from what I've seen.
My question is, what's the difference between the different classes of GPRS. I've seen class 10. Or 4+2 slots, that sort of weird stuff.
And does EDGE have different classes as well? If so, what do they mean?
Thanks in advance!

the class decides how fast the connection is. for GPRS class 10 is the best, then with EDGE there are different classes aswell, though i dont know the rating on each one.
hope that helped a bit.

That helped alot, at least now I know what they mean.
How about when it states "4+2 slots", what's that? Goes that mean Class 6 GPRS?

while i cant give you an exact definition, the slots are the upload and download things. so 4 downloads to ever 2 uploads i think.

no prob, man. my class 8 T637 (to tide me over until the S710a cause they're taking away unlimited data on the 31st) gets about 40kbs download and 10kbs upload when i bluetooth the internet over to my laptop.
