Cingular People, I Need Help!!!

Here's my problem, I have a Sony Ericsson T637 that I've had for over a month now. I bought through Cingular.com. It started yesterday, my phone doesn't ring when someone calls, if I go into my Sounds folder and try playing my ringtones, they will not play. All this gets fixed though every time I power cycle my phone.

How can I get this fixed? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Beats me man... first I've ever heard of such a problem. Call 611 (customer svc). They can put you in touch w/ tech support.

Do your buttons still beep when you press them, or is everything muted?

I know this sounds really basic, but have you made sure you're not in silent mode?

I'll turn the volume for my keys on, cause I always have them on silent, next time this happens I'll let you know if they keys sound off or not.

As far as being in silent mode goes, that was my first assumption even though the crossed out music note icon didnt appear at the top, I still made sure silent mode was off, I even tried turning it on and then off but still no go. The only thing that makes the ringers work is power cycling the phone.

That's really weird. I don't know dude. It is still under manufacturer's warranty, even if you can't return it to Cingular.

I was afraid of that. I hate sending stuff to Sony Ericsson, they take a billion years + 1 to send it back. At least that was the case with my T68i and my T610, and those went out for firmware upgrades 😕

Just call Cingular tech support first. They may have another solution for you.

Call 1800 801 1101. As long as the phone is purchased within 1 year Cingular will replace the phone at your convenience. They will send you a replacement and you send yours back to them. As long as they don't find any user abuse(cracks, water damage, etc.) it wont cost you a thing... Not even shipping...
