Good news!
Hi everyone....to all those pissed off at the long wait in frustration and anticipation of the release of the SE S710A.
I spoke with Cingular's corporate office today about 2 ohurs ago and they stated that the S710 will be here no later than Feb. 27...this gave me a little hope. 🙄
By now, I am sure most of you feel like me, as well others on the board...."I'll believe it when I see it in the stores."
In the meantime, I just purchased a T637(my first SE phone) which I am happier with more than the Cingular service itself, so I know I am going to love the S710.... 🤣

I just don't feel comfortable getting an interim phone/new contract on the basis that the s710 will most likely be out in 30 days. They have demonstrated that they are willing to delay it over and over and i wouldn't be surprised if they did it again. And even if there was a gaurantee, I would not do it for a phone that I haven't even seen

You have 30 days to return the phone and cancel the contract, or just return the phone?? How long do you have to cancel the contract? Can you do it over and over??(and still get all discounts)?
...
And if you need to get a new number, can you keep on cancelling contracts but keep the first number?
...
You have 30 days to back out of a contract and/or return the phone. If you keep the phone you still have to pay full, no contract price. At least I think thats how it goes. 🙄

you have 30 days to change contracts, switch phones, whatever you want. you cannot keep a number on the first contract if you cancel it X days later. they charge you for the minutes you used when you had the plan, so if you get 800 min for 40 a month and use 400 min in the 30 days you pave to pay 20 bucks.
i dont know how many times you can do it, but each time you do it there is an 18 (or it might be 36) dollar activation fee that you dont get back.
