Thinking about getting s700

Guys im about to cave in and get the s700. What are the major differences between the s710 and the s700 besides the hefty price.

It's a great phone. I've had it for a couple of months now. The camera on it is awesome. The screen is very clear and very bright and easy to use. 😁

Diffs:
850 band
no radio, but it has EDGE.
And its black.

If the S700 was offered in black, and if the cingular thing wasnt holding me back I would so have that phone.

what the hell is edge? and what is the 850 band and what does it do?

850 band is the frequency that the FCC has given Cingular to use (for you to use).

Cingular uses both the 850 and 1900 bands in their network... you can have some success with 1900 only, but you're not going to have service everywhere you want. If you go with the 700, you'll either have to be on t-mobile or suffer with the equivalent of walking on one leg with cingular. AS for edge, its a firmware update for gprs that allows for faster data transfer rates, same technology, just more go juice.
