Didn't see if anyone else had posted this, but here is what I have. Got a new price sheet in today (i'm an agent in atlanta) that had the s710 on it, with a release of late feb. Pricing:
2year-449.99
1year-499.99
no commitment-599.99

No rebate. Pretty much what I expected. .

This is not the first time I've heard that the phone will be $450 w/ 2 yr. But, that may actually work to my advantage, follow along and correct my logic where apprpriate:

1. Like some other folks on this forum, I get a 30% discount on equipment, only at the no contract price. So $600*.7 = $420 < $450. I can get this phone with no commitment cheaper than with a contract.

2. I just got a new Orange plan this week (thank god too, they just changed today 2/11) and I got the V180 for free ($20 mail-in). Checking on ebay, I could easily sell that phone for $100.

3. I also have my old unlocked/unbranded T637 with some extras. I could easily sell that for about $100 on ebay.

So that means I'll pay $420 for the S710a at ($600 - 30%) ...

Seems to be. Wish my company gave me a discount, even if it was just on the retail price. All I get is cost which is usually between 1yr pricing and no commitment pricing, plus I have phones I could sell as well. Oh well.... 🙄

I read the same price list as Eyesris, but it stated the No-Commit price at $549.99. With a 30% discount your phone would be $384.99 not incl. tax. That's a damn good deal.

I'm in GA---and I don't get a discount. I want to switch to Cingular to get this phone. Anything you can do for me? 🙂

Who me? I don't work for Cingular, my discount is through my company. 30% off equipment and 14% off services.

Well, the price would still be the same for the non-commit discount. The same percentage is applied to employees purchasing equipment. Sorry for any mix-up.
