Sony Ericsson S710a

yeah i like the s710's features for the most part. the only problems i see are its lack of being in my hands, the size and im worried about text messaging with it. just seems the design wouldnt be great for texting

Actually, the S710 I hear is suppose to be replacing the Nokia 7610 for Cingular.
The phones are comparable and they actually compare these two, but the SE looks alot better...more sexy.
I can't understand why we are all so anxious all of a sudden. It has been at least 4 people talking about jumping ship. The release is right around the corner now....relax and be patient for another week or so!

I've never posted here, but I've been following the buildup of this phone for AGES. I've waited this long for this phone and I'll be darned if I don't get it! LOL

Seriously,my advice would be to just wait it out. Go to your nearest cingular place after its release(supposedly very soon), and try it out. You don't lose anything. If you like the fit in your hands, then go for it. If not, go for something that matches whatever it is you want it to do.

Cellphones are like your boyfriend/girlfriend. If it ain't compatible with your lifestyle, no matter how good it looks, don't marry it. 😈

Well, that's really not my style, but I've always seen boyfriends/girlfriends like cars. You gotta test drive (date) them before you buy (marry) them! 😁

At this point in my life, my cell phone is as indispensable as my car AND my boyfriend! You MUST test drive them ALL! 🤣

Make sure you test drive them in their own respective way...I dont think it would be good for the screen to be test driven the same as your boyfriend.

Okay...that said, I'M backing out of here too!

The design of the Nokia isn't that great either. I've got a dummy for it here & the buttons are tiny & crunched together. Even from a texting standpoint, I'd still go w/ the s710.
