Cingular store let me know when u get them

I have read of some east coast stores having the phones already. If anyone knows of a Southern California location that has them plz let us know. I am in Orange County. GIVE A HOLLA!!

lol... my god. I went into one of the cingular stores around where I live and asked if I could be called when the phone was released. The guy said they would put me on the list, but in the meantime he would call a superior and ask how long it should be and call me back the next day (today). I get home today and check my messages, and the gist of it is that he is claiming it will still be one or two months.

I really wanna print out that memo that was forwarded to a number of people around here and take it in and show it to this guy. Then I would like to inform him that numerous locations around the country have theirs today.

Im furious..

This has just been some venting.

i hear you. I call my stores and they are oblivous to the fact that this phone is even freaking coming out. 😡

I talked to a Cingular guy today in the Boston area and he said the phone would be out Mid-week. I also said I was waiting for this exact phone to switch from Verizon to Cingular so he was probably making me all excited and jerking me around just so I didn't change my mind somehow....

I normally keep quiet on this board and all of them, but I work in a cingular store in GA and we got two of them in today!!

Different Markets Have different release dates...... We haven't Received them in the California Market Yet. It's not like the people at the stores know when it's coming...We just wait to hear word from corporate and what we hear from them gets passed on to customers.. Don't blame the sore associates. Blame Cingular for its inconsistency

I just think its a bit odd that the rep @ my store nor his superior has access to this "internal" document that most of us on here have.

Dont blame the reps, **** some of them just dont care about work or what freaking new phone is coming up. Its just a temp job to them anyways, but on the other hand you get the reps that know what they are talking about. In all fairness the reps i bet dont even know the release date; they prob just have shipments come in from day to day with new phones.

I went to the other store near my house to see what they would say. I go in and ask about the s710s. The rep instantly knew what i was talking about and said "it should be here in a few days, actually we have a dummy model you can check out" and handed me one she had hidden in her desk. Its amazing how different these 2 reps ive dealt with are.

I'm a Rep up in WA (not DC), and I feel that most of the wrong/misinformation comes from the reps NOT keeping themselves updated. I make it a point to research EVERY new thing out there, be it phones, rates, competetive info., whatever, and I hate when there's a couple people who don't go the extra mile to educate themselves, and babble bullsh*t to every customer just to "get the sale"

But I love it when a knowledgable customer walks in and embarrasses the rep.

I was helping my step-dad buy a new LCD TV at Best Buy a couple weeks ago when I heard an associate selling this woman on stuff that wasn't true. So I offered my assistance - told the associate to go read up on what he was talking about and helped her out.

It was very entertaining and rewarding watching the guy walk off.

I agree. some people try to pass themselves off as technical sales reps but in reality they haven't a clue. Karma will get those bastards!!

I feel bad showing those guys up because its like... their job. Occasionally i will step in, but most of the time I just play dumb.

If an under-educated sales rep is trying to sell me on something using facts that are wrong, ill just ask questions like "oh, i thought this one had bluetooth, not 802.11b" then they check and say something like "oh yeah, im getting this one confused with that other one... you know that one with the... poke and the mon and the...." and wow this paragraph has deteriorated in to bill cosby. its too late. good night
