Since I can't complain about not knowing when the phone will be released...

Now I must complain about not knowing when the people who run the TrainGainSE contest will actually DELIVER the award phones to the winners!

See - we DO still have stuff to collectively whine about!

😡

I am getting SO frickin' impatient!!!! Its worse since now I have photos of my fellow phonescoopers with theirs.... AND I have my very own s710a dummy phone to play with at work (and drool over).

Life is tough....

If you'll notice - all the people that have the phones have PAID for them...not won them. It wouldn't make sense to give the limited (apparently) quantity that they have to you guys before making some sales.

Reason I say limited is because anyone that has said their store has them has said they have 2...so looks like that rumor was true.

Yeah, but like I said before - people do pay attention to the model of phone the salesperson is using. When I am using my v220, more people want to buy the thing. Just b/c we aren't paying for ours doesn't mean that we aren't entitled to them in a timely manner. The program rules say that the shipping date will depend upon market availability dates. Those of us who toiled to win these things had to crank out a TON of sales of SE phones in a very short period of just one week. We had to talk people out of buying Motorolas & Nokias & convince them that ...

"In a timely manner" - Absolutely. But I'd say that a timely manner would consist of now until a couple weeks from now.

I'll agree that the phone the salesperson has would likely affect a small percentage of buyers who hadn't already made up their mind before walking into the store. I'm curious - was this a contest through SE or through Cingular? (i.e. which company is responsible for honoring the context?

Not to offend - but the company is more concerned with paying customers than it is with it's employees getting this phone. It's easy to put you off until the phones arrive because you will still get your phone. A paying customer will go elsewhere - we've seen several people on this forum breakdown and either go with another phon...
