No phone comes unlocked when purchased directly from a cellular service provider. Only when purchased from a third party, and even then, not always. Its something that you have to ask about. Often you will pay more for one that is unlocked.

Well I actually I bought the Razr back in November and wanted to test to see if it was unlocked. So I inserted my dad's T-Mobile sim card and to my amazement it was unlocked, so I guess it just depends....just to let you know, I returned the Razr to get this phone....hehe..
