MP3 question
Can we load MP3s onto the phone and use them as ring tones, either from the phone's memory or directly from the Duo?
That would be pretty sweet... I'd have to get some audio manipulation software for my PC so that I could make my own ringtones!
...
Does it play the entire MP3 or like the 1st 10 sec of the MP3
Thnaks

Depends...if you go into media player..you can play the whole thing...if its as a ring tone, its obviously only going to play untill the phone goes to voice mail.
...
I use Nero Ultra Edition to make all my ring tones. When I had the Motorola Razr.

I build my own MP3's using only 30 seconds of the recording I want, this saves on space and is enough to cover the duration of the 4 rings....

That's more or less what I was thinking I'd do also. 30 seconds is plenty of time... I'm either going to get it by then or it's going to switch to voice mail.
Cool... really glad to hear this works!

Not true, I got this from the AT&T forum. It worked on my AT&T T637 and on my Cingular S710a. I was doing a similar thing, creating MP3 ringtones and I wanted them to play longer, worked on my S710a like I said, just this weekend:
"I know i had done this with my Nokia & it still works for my Moto, to set the phone to ring past the 20 second's that's default to 30 seconds follow these steps:
1: enter the following code: *#61# and press send, this will give you your VM #. Write the number down
2: enter the following code: **61*+the #[you wrote down]**30# and press send. This will increase the rings to 30 seconds."
