I just went back and read some of his Train & Gain threads, lol, holy shiznit man, he was pissed. and then he finally gets the phone he was all pissy about and doesn't like it? Plus the 710 uses a CCD sensor like most digital cameras which generally produce better image quality than CMOS sensors used in pretty much all camera phones. He has no idea what he's talking about.

Yeah, some CMOS cameras are pretty good. It's more than any one part of the camera - lens, sensor, compression method, file format, auto settings. Some camera phones get it better than others.
CMOS sensors have the benefit of being cheaper to make and controlling more functions so if you can make a quality CMOS camera then all te better, y'know?
