As an employee for Cingular, I am empathetic of your situation. However, Cust. Service is correct as far as the MEdia plan being removed and unavailable. The best option for you, is to request (demand) that you have two additional packages added at no cost. EXAMPLE: $4.99 internet = 500Kb & $2.99 text = 50 messages. By doing this, you'll receive the same features as your initial MEdia plan. Aside from that, you may also want to request a $2 credit for each month you have the MEdia plan, do defer the extra charge. I hope that will help your situation, and keep you happy. 😁

that kinda happened to me. i started a plan on feb 21st or so and i couldnt recieve text messages from anyone but people with new(ish) cingular phones. they added it and removed it (MEdia Works) multiple times, the tech people said it had been fixed. unfortunately it had not been fixed. i got a new sim card, i tried 3 different phones, nothing. the rep said that if i killed the plan, nothign would change, and that it wasn't cingular's fault.
i killed the plan anyway and started up a new one with telesales on the 9th. they didnt activate my plan until the 11th and when my phone arrived it had no MEdia Works plan. i complained to a rep, to her supervisor, and to the person they sent me to to kill the plan. that person sent me to ano...

Yeah, I remember you telling us that before. Someone on the Cingular Forum here on phonescoop, Revelance, had to help me. Ridiculous that Cingular couldn't do it themselves, the ironic thing is that I got my orignal plan back an still have the $48 credit. Cingular would have been better off just helping me in the first place.
Anyway, after I got my plan back, I was back to the original problem of not receiving text messages, but after putting my SIM in my T637, it worked fine. I put the SIM back in the S710a and all seems well now. It's like twisting dicks I tell ya.
