Does Amazon Offer 1-Year Contracts?

Wilco

Mar 8, 2005, 10:10 AM
Hey:

I was looking at the S710a on Amazon and it seems that all the contracts they're offering are two years. Do they ever offer 1-year contracts?

Thanks.

I know they offered 1 year agreements for other phones. It seems they made an exception for the S710a and made it 2 year agreements only.

Prooooove it! 😈 LOL jk.

I didn't know Cingular offered 1 year's. How come they don't do it on their website or in their stores? That's kind budget! I believe you that Cingular does, but it doesn't appear that they are available through Amazon.

Yeah... Cingular does offer 1 yr, so I would assume that Amazon would too. Cingular just doesn't like to advertise that they offer 1yr. I sell 1yr contracts to customers - the only difference is that on most phones you pay an extra $50 on top of the 2 yr price. I actually think that the extra $50 is worth it, considering that you're then eligible for the upgrade discount in 11 months instead of 20.

I remember asking a while back the same question. The BF hates two year contracts, but loves the phone so he ordered it through amazon anyway. They didn't have an option for the 1-year contract, but when he got his welcome packet in the mail with all his contract 411, the service agreement was for 1-year only. He later called and confirmed and sure enough, he is running on 1 year only.

I got mine for free on a family plan of 69.99 on a one year plan.

Or I could have gotten it for 250 for an individual plan on 1 year contract.

Alot of the Asian own shops here in Los Angeles offer this.

They are offering this phone for free w/ a family plan? That seems pretty hard to believe.

Congrats for the deal though.
