Sony Ericsson S710a
Mail in Rebate through Amazon.com
Was looking at the S710a on Amazon and they have the phone at $419 with $150 off with mail in rebate. Does the 150 requre a 2 year contract or can I get this phone with a 1 year?
I already have the phone, but the BF is in love with the phone. I like the guy, but not enough to spend $500 on him though. LOL j/k Point being...he has an aversion to staying with one carrier for 2 years.

I read the rebate, but apparently getting a contract through Amazon(at least on Cingular) requires a two year contract.
I ended up taking the plunge and ordering the phone for him anyways. Problem is, Amazon gave me two shipping dates...
March and May? Says my shipment would be shipped in two shipments, one in March and the other in May. Its one phone for goodness sakes, why the two shipping dates. On which will I get my phone? I'm tres confused. Ack!
