Hey all. I was wondering if anyone had any word on upcoming phone releases on Cingular within the next 3 months, and any anticipated price changes on phones currently available. I'm especially interested in phones with bluetooth that are:
1) Mac OS X compatible so it can be synchronized via iSync to sync calendar, address book, and to do list
2) compatible with Salling Clicker
After all the waiting for the s710a, I decided to wait due to $50 price change; also found that it would be costlier to get it through Amazon since I'm already with Cingular. Any constructive feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
p.s. I'm looking for the cheapest option; if possible, looking to get Sony Ericsson T637 when it becomes free again, ...

I'm not sure what you mean about the $50 price change on the S710? They didn't change the price of the phone.
And buying the phone through Amazon isn't more expensive than going through Cingular w/o a contract. Cingular is charging $549 but Amazon is charging $499.
Sorry, I wore myself out searching (and waiting) to bother looking into new and upcoming phones - so I don't know what is coming down the pipeline that will be cheap AND have bluetooth.

In reference to the $50 price change... Well, I thought we all anticipated the phone would be sold for $399, then came word that they were going on sale for $449. From what I remember, we had someone on the 'inside' with a price list indicating $399 during the 1st 2 wks of February (even though the phone was not released yet). I was reluctant to pay $400 for a phone at the first place, but when I found out that it was going to be $450, I figured I should wait till the kinks are resolved. But then, after having a nokia 3360 (?) for 3+ years, and then reverting to a 'hand-me-down' 5165 for the last 6 months with shady reception, I figured I needed to take action - quick.
And Amazon... The price in the longrun would benefit anyone who h...

The prices that had been speculated in this forum since around December have been (and always been)
$549 no contract
$499 1yr
$449 2yr.
Not sure where you read $399 but I don't think that was ever a realistic insider info - maybe the thread about what would you be willing to pay you read $399.
Either way. Sorry. As far as the amazon bit goes, for paying for the phone w/ no svc. it's cheaper but given all the flip-flopping (add a line or new account) it wouldn't make sense to go through amazon.
Good luck

The T637 has been discontinued & is currently being phased out. Some stores may still have it in stock and will continue to sell the remaining units. You will soon see these phones disappearing from stores, since they won't be ordering them anymore. It won't ever be listed on the Cingular website again.

...and will be forever forgotten.... 😢 LOL

Actually, I met with our Nokia rep today (hear me out), and he showed the NEW 6682. Although I am not the biggest Nokia fan, I found this phone to be quite intriguing. It has 1.3MP camera, decent OS, MMC (expandable to 512mB), streaming video w/ edge, realOne player, speakerphone, Mp3..well....it's got a lot of sh*t. That's the newest (noteworthy) phone that will be released on Cingular soon. LG has some "cool" phones coming, but I hate LG's. It pains me to sell them to customer, regardless of what i tell them.

Looks like the black replacement for the RAZR is the next phone people will be drooling over. Not coming out until approx Q4 2005, which means maybe xmas, maybe march 06...But 2 cameras, larger screens, video conference, 512mb flash removable, etc, etc, etc. And you have to want a clamshell.
