Anybody remember way back almost 2 months ago when I predicted that a small handful of people would be getting on this forum after they got their phones & start complaining about what a piece of crap it is & how SE sucks???

I do 🙂

LOL yeah I remember that too, I have yet to get my S710a though, but I'm sure I'll soon join the bitching circle as well! But maybe by the time I get mine there'll be new firmware and mine wont have the problems that some people are experiencing. I'm starting to get turned off by these slow menu and bluetooth complaints.

I mean, this phone took soooo long to be released you'd think that it would be a flawless work of art, maybe even bulletproof! So what gives?? lol

I haven't had any bluetooth issues and the slow menus aren't slow enough to be frustrating. Guess I got lucky with my phone.

Or maybe some people dont know how to use their phones and/or are very picky and expect perfection. I'd really have to see for myself.

Just think - in 6 months, 3 people from around the country will happen to have s710's with minor defects & they will start a thread about how everything that SE makes is crap & how nobody should ever buy anything from SE.

Yeah, I hear ya. I just happen to bask Motorola cause I personally had a problem with every piece of Motorola branded thing I've ever used, even products aside from cell phones. But I know not everything they make is horrible, doesn't mean though that I'm at all going to trust buying any of their products, or buy them period. but I here where you're coming from.

As for Sony Ericsson, I don't have any complaints against them, or at least any of their products I've used. Yeah there's thing I don't like, but they can't make something to suit everyones liking so technically it isnt' a defective product, just something about the product that isn't to my personal liking, and I'm not going to raise hell against them because they don't make p...

I too am sure that once I get my phone I will probably have some things that I wish were better about it. Its been that way with every cell phone I've had. I appreciate the phone's strengths & accept its shortcomings (and EVERY phone has its shortcomings).

Ironically, the longer I have worked for a Cingular dealer, the more disenchanted I have become with Motorola. SE & Nokia have become my favorite manufacturers. Their phones may not always have all the glitz & glam that the Moto products do, and they may not always get as good advertising as Moto, but they seem to get the job done a bit better with lower prices & better reception. Not that I think Moto is complete junk - I'd still take a Moto over a LG or Samsung - but I j...

Yeah well, I could have told you that. There is no such thing as the perfect phone. Whats good for one, doesn't mean its good for everyone. 😛

I love it when people come to my store & ask me these 2 questions:

1. What's your best plan?
2. What's your best phone?

I just want to slap them. What's best for me might not be what's best for them in plans/phones. I'm not going to sell a S710a or a Nokia 6620 with a 2000 min plan to Grandma when what she needs is a Nokia 6010 with the $29.99/200min plan! Likewise, I'm not selling the 6010 to the gadget-freak who wants the latest tech either.

I know there is no perfect phone, I was being sarcastic. What I meant was, it took so long to be released that at the least they could have worked out the minor kinks with the Bluetooth and the slow menu's. I'm sure that everyone would like those problems to not be there, it would be everyone's preferance to have the Bluetooth work without shutting off and the menu's to be a little faster I'm sure.
