Colin McRae killed my battery

Bought and downloaded the new Colin McRae Rally 2005 game yesterday and played it for about an hour and a half. That plus using Bluetooth for about 20 minutes was enough to almost completely drain my battery. ☹️

Fun game, btw. We've been arguing about it here at work, though, trying to decide whether or not it is actually 3D or just faking it. (I.e. is it using the built-in 3D engine or not.)

So it runs pretty smoothly then? No choppy movement like on so many other cellphone games?

There's no system lag in the game, but due to the fact that you're controlling your car with an digital on-off switch instead of an analog controller it's still a bit wonky.

The car doesn't have infinitely variable steering, for example. The longer you hold down the left or right key the more sharply the car turns, but it's pretty clearly segmented and not smooth. It's nowhere near as bad as other games, though.

The graphics look a bit grainy on this phone, but I've never played other Colin McRae Rally games so that may be par for the course.

Finally finished my first "career" mode game this afternoon. I didn't do so well in Sweden, but did well enough to still finish first for the season. That unlocked Expert Mode, so I'll have...
