Firmware?

Anyone have any info on when we can get a firmware update?

The firmware is different from the s700 because of the radio/edge difference...Right?

Yeah the firmware is different because of the EDGE /radio difference. Also because of the Cingular type menu and such.

I also don't believe there is a firmware update for the phone yet. When there is, I dont think you'll be able to just download it and update it yourself. You'll probably have to send the phone to SE or Cingular (or walk into cingular store possibly?) to have it done.

The Cingular branded phones have the most up to date firmware, although it's branded. I've read on here that Sony is offering "unbranded" firmware updates for about $37, but haven't investigated.
