I wouldnt trust it. the picture shows 128mb duo. I bet he screwed up the listing by listing it as Duo and not PRO duo.

This was copy and pasted from the email ebay sent with his reply. All he says is a simple "yes".

Dear tremor1521,

You asked:
"Will this work in a Sony Ericsson S710A?"

Anything above 128MB is PRO. So in conclusion, there is no such thing as a 512MB+ Memory Stick Duo. Only Memory Stick Duo Pro.

Don't get scammed by this camel jockey.

I think its so stupid that Sony made a phone this advanced that does support its PRO Memory Sticks. Even the friggin' PSP can take PRO media and the phone is worth more!

Well that's a separate matter. Yes, it SHOULD have supported PRO duo...

Unfortunately it won't...and no matter how many people will try it, it still wont work.

Nicely said Hero!

Okay, seriously, when I first heard it didn't support PRO I was bummed.

Now that I have the phone I realize, what the hell would I need ALL that room for? I don't need to use it for an MP3 player, I've got an iPod. I don't plan on taking pictures and storing them in there, just transfering them over to my computer when I get the chance. The most stored on my phone is games and 30 second clip MP3 ringtones. The built-in 32MB + 32MB memory stick is more than enough for me.

Perhaps some of you can say the same, maybe not. That's just my personal take.

Yeah, more than enough for me as well. I much prefer my ipod or my home stereo to my phone for playing music. Generally if i'm not at my desk, or at home, i'm in my car or somewhere with live music so it's not such a big deal to have an mp3 player on my phone.

Keep in mind, the W800 lacks the 850 band though. So you'll have your MP3 player but you'll miss out on some coverage.

Some people prefer their phones to not be a phone and instead do other things.

When is the W800 even supposed to be released?

Yeah, true, I personally prefer function over form.

As for release date, who knows?

Actual, this phone does not fall under the category of "bar style", it falls under "swivel". 🙂
