Receiving pictures
I have a question about viewing received pix through MMS. I haven't been able to view any pictures my friends have sent to my phone. Do I need to change my settings on the picture scaling option or am I doing something else wrong here? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Wierd. I got an MMS picture from another cingular user last night (ooh, it makes me happy to look at it!). Are the people sending the messages on cingular or other service?

None of them is with Cingular. I sent a picture to one of them, but when he tried to send it back I couldn't view it and all I got was a broken portrait when I saved it to the memory stick and tried to view it in the My Pictures folder.

well that is the soul issue.. mms is the same as text used to be .. only within your own carrier.. no one else that i can think of has mms which in turn would make it not possable for them to send to u or visa versa.. t mobile might have something and verizon is working on some inter carrier sh!t but im not sure what..

That sucks because I'm the only one of my friends that has a camera phone with cingular. Thanks for your explanation, it solved a mystery for me.

Actually that is incorrect. You can MMS with Verizon customers. I do it all the time. There was an article on that on this site a couple months ago.

i assume u missed my post.. i had stated that tmobile might have something and verizon was working on something in the way of multi carrier mms.. so that was touched already
