Bluetooth & MP3 player questions.
Hi everybody,
I was just wondering if you could send and receive files via bluetooth, and how? Could you transfer stuff directly to the phone or just the MS? Is there any way we could access the phone internal memory?
As for the MP3 player. Do some of you experience that sometimes your phone is set on RANDOM for some reason, when it was set on OFF? Also, is there any way to delete cingular tone and fab farm?? please, these are very annoying when playing straight MP3s on the phone. I wish they were MIDI files instead damnit. As someone stated on here, the MP3 players on our phone is basic, no repeat feature. I love the minimize feature though =)

hi there- you can do both things that you ask.
First off, it is rather easy to send directly to the phone via BT, albeit much slower than dragging a song to the Memory Stick. Depending on how your computer's BT is set up, you should be able to right-click a file (sound, image, theme, etc) and go to the option "send" and in the sub menu "to Bluetooth" and further submenu should have "s710a" in the bluetooth menu (or if you renamed your phone that name). Bluetoothing a song takes a while- I would stick with using the MS for that, since Sony gave us a free card reader with the phone. I like to BT ring tones and themes though, and it works great for that.

Bluetooth's throughput is 721kbps and USB 1.1 can transfer at 12mbps. For reference - USB 2.0 is 480mbps.

go here. it is all free, although you have to look around to find good ones. I usually just load them to my phone and see if I like them, if not I dump it.
It is a foreign site- seems European, so you will find celebrities you may not really care for, as will you see brands and teams that arent what your typical american user would care about
