I was wondering what kind of deals people are gettting on this phone (while bringing their old number to Cingular)? I heard someone got it for $40, but that seems pretty impossible--noting the rest of the market is carrying it for a couple hundred smackers.

40 dollars?

hmmm, maybe for the Sney Erison S711B model.

my cousin (which we're not really good friends or anything) said the most he could do on a discount is $100 bucks, making the phone $299.99

wirefly has it for $279.99 right now, and amazon.com has the best deal i've seen, $249.99

if anybody has seen it lower let me know.

from a 3rd party store... $130 with a $100 rebate from cingular. no taxes.

I have no idea why you people all buy it directly from cingular. total waste of money

I called a local cell store and they looked at my account, told me that they could get it to me for $199 after $100 rebate....what do you have to say to get the really good deal?

I have two weeks left on my contract....

bogus my ass.

I'm in san jose, CA... shopped around at a few asian stores.
First place... $50... they handle the rebate, but i had to wait a week for it to get shipped in... I didn't want to wait.

so i went somewhere else... $130 straight up no tax... I handle the $100 rebate myself. Just had to wait a day for the SIM card, cause they sold out that day.

Off of lawrence and arques if you know the area.

I'm telling you... never buy a phone straight from cingular. They give these stores like $300 commission for a new customer contract. and the stores pass on that savings to the customer. I once bought a phone down in LA for -$50. Yeah that's right, NEGATIVE. They paid me $50 to get a certain LG phone with a new contract.

The Cingular store is offering it for $199 after rebate for upgrade service as well as new, but only with a two year contract. Amazon is offering it for $99 after rebates. Their rebates work with a one year contract but they only offer a two year contract.

Can anyone report a better price for an upgrade (we'd be getting two phones on a family plan to replace our V600 units)? If not we'll probably get new phones and service and then cancel the old. I'd rather not change numbers, and I'd rather not sign more than a one year contract at a time, but hey, I'd like to know what's out there. The independent stores I've talked to can't even match the price from the Cingular store. I'm in northern NJ, near NYC, by the way.
