Maybe its a rebate based on market? I am in michigan, and its listed, $299, $199 after rebate. Even viewed the rebate form, its a generic Cingular form with about 15 phones listed on it, with varying rebate amounts.

Just print out a rebate form and send it in, I bought a Sony Ericsson T637 for $19.99 so I wasnt elgible for the rebate because people who payed $119.99 for the phone were only eligible. But I said what the hell and sent in the rebate form, and what do ya know? There's a check infront of me for $50 from Cingular! 😁

Cingular payed me $30 for buying the T637 🤣

Could you post a link to that rebate form please. It dosen't show up if i put in zip for Saint Louis or Denver.

weird.... i put in your zip code, and saw the rebate, exited out of cingular.com, went back typed in my zip, and the rebate showed up...?
i guess they updated the page or something

I put in zip code 63108 for Saint Louis, and it shows me 299.99 for price, i don't see any link for extra 100$ off.

You suggest that I send it in? I will give it a shot, luckily still have the box! But the rebate does say offer is valid from June 1 to July 23, and to include a copy of receipt and fill in purchase date. Do I be honest about it and put April 21?

I was honest about my purchase date so yeah, put whatever it says on the reciept. You also have to send the UPC that's on the box! 🙂

I'll give it a shot, and see what happens in 10-12 weeks, unless they reject it sooner. Looks like this rebate is for 2 $50 Visa reward cards.

ok, i figured it out. if you go to the mouseover menu ("shop cingular") and click "phones and PDA's, it will not work for some reason the discounts will not show up.

however, if you click the "shop cingular" menu like it was a button, when you put your zip the discounts will show up.

at least that's what has worked for me... i don't know why it's like that.

Actually they both work the same way for me. And currently both show the $299 with $100 rebate. Could it just be a case of having multiple webservers (load balancing) and not all of them have been updated correctly? I find it hard to believe that someone is changing the site back and forth this many times today.

I bought my S710 about two weeks ago. Since I'm still in the trial period, I went back to the dealer. He took the phone back, resold it to me at the lower price and qualified me for the rebate.

Cingular is earming my business 😉

I bought my s710 about 2 weeks ago from Cingular's web site. I called them and they gave me $100 back without sending the phone back (which is what I was planning to do).

The rebate is another story. I'm sending in for it, though I'll probably be rejected.
