I just got mine yesterday after the price drop and I know the proc has always been known to be slow, but has anyone eve rlet it fall into screen saver mode and black out, to turn it on and the signal bar seems like the graphic is half missing, liek the last one or two bars, only a bit opf the bottom shows and its leaving the "blue box of bars" open, like a chunk is missing.
If I move to different folders or screens it pops back up again, but this just seemed... odd.

Could you PLEASE re-word what you just said and be a little more clearer because I have no idea what you're trying to say. Then I'll be glad to try and assist you! Thanks 😁

Okay Sorry its hard to describe.
When I first turn on the phone i get the blue bars, after few seconds a "bl;ue background" pops up behind just the bars, so it looks like... a box with bars in it. Sometimes when I swap between main screen and menu pages the bars go down (or maybe im in bad area, not sure) but when that happens, it look slike a chunk of the background disappears, where the bars are.
Just kind of looke dlike a software flaw unless thats how they designed it to look.
New phone, paranoia on a new toy, can't help it 🙂
If its just how it looks when signal fluctuates, thats cool.. I wasnt thinking and did a master reset too and lost all my starwars stuff and games too. Sigh.
...
Well, for the Star Wars stuff, re-purchase it, then log into your Media Net on your computer and dispute the new charges and when Cingular sees you've purchased the same stuff over again they'll refund your money, they did to me!
Are you talking about the signal bars for the GSM or the signal bar for the EDGE/GPRS, which is on top?
...
the bar thats onthe far left, the phone signal bar. it just looked funky doing that, asnt sure if its software glitch or not.
So if its like a blox square with bars in it, but if signal drops it takes the bars out but also the blue "background" behind the bars only, a baby blue..
Okay Im sounding crazy 😛
And thanks for the tip on starwars stuff 🙂
...
When the bar disappears it should be the same backround as the rest of the phone.
...
its the GPRS signal strength, my bad, and thanks 🙂 BTW does yours make a rattle when it vibrates unless you squeeze the phone? its loud otherwise, and kinda defeats the purpose..
...
No it doesnt rattle, I mean if it's sitting on a table or something it will rattle a little yes but thats just because its on a hard surface. If its in my pocket all you really hear is like a "vvvvv... vvvvvv" noise. The only thing that truly does rattle is the shutter on the camera when a MP3 is playing through the speaker, alot of people have reported that problem although I dont see it as being any sort of draw back. 😎
...
Aww, well that sucks for me, the little nub on the back of the earpiece part of the rotating screen is vibrating against the indention it locks into when vibrate is on and makes this really loud rattle sound ☹️
