Hi guys, sorry I havent been on the forum lately. My phone froze and i cant take the case off to remove the battery. I try to turn the power off but it wont re-boot. HELP. Does the button on the back get pushed back, forward, or to the side? It wont budge and i dont want to break it. Which way does the button get moved to open the back case leading to the battery.

Ok I read something about how this phone doesn't have the 900 MHz band. I really don't know a lot about this whole band thing, but will the phone work in Asia, specificlly HK?

I am selling a brand new S710a along with an HS820 BT headset. I REALLY do not want to part with it, but I am having some financial difficulties right now and don't have a choice. i am considering getting the s710.. i currently have the old nokia 3650, although i still love it! one of my fav. things about the 3650 is the personalized ring tones. i make them myself from the recorder.

does the s710 have a recorder? if so, can you turn the recordings into personalized ringtones like on the 3650?

I am seriously thinking of buying the Sony Ericsson s710a. However, am torn between this and the RAZR. I bought the Nokia 6230 and am not happy with the phone. I had a couple of questions about the s710a that would help me make up my mind. First, when retrieving your voicemail do you have to enter a pin # like on the nokia? Secondly, I am rather hard on my phones so how sturdy is the phone? Third and final (I promise,) I know this phone is a tri-band phone, but has anyone taken the phone out of the country? How well did it work? Okay, I know that last question is actually two questions, but it is part of the third question. Nevertheless, I look forward to any replies to help me in my decision-making.

What are the most efficiant setting for an MP3 in order to make it sound good one the phone? Bit rate, sample rate, etc..?

I was using the keyboard intro from Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like a Hole". But just recently switched to the song "Twisted Nerve" by Bernard Herrmann. For those not familiar, it's the whistling song from the Kill Bill movie. Sounds coooool 🙂

Are all the s710a's supposed to have an im menue? Mine doesnt. If so, is the user supposed to enable it or install something?

Is there a way you can save games to you memory stick and than save it to your phone.

I hope this isnt a repeat thread. I looked through most of the threads to see if any one had addressed this issue, but i didnt see anything.

I only see three choices for the camera sounds on the 710, and none of them are "off". Even when the phone is in silent mode the camera still makes its sounds when a picture is taken. Is there a software upgrade available yet that will allow these sounds to be turned off or am I stuck?

dropped my phone today! 😲 LOL, but it's okay! No scratches or dents or cracks or anything that would really make me mad at myself for being a crippled, clumsy fool 🤣
