how do i start watching streaming mulitimedia?

With this phone can u record sounds or voice straight to the cell an use it as ringtones?

i got some tv show i want to watch is there anyway to watch in full screen

I heard it can load up some HTML sites which would be cool to go on normal websites on ur phone. does it have an XHTML brower? what's the diff between HTML and XHTML browsers?

How big of a MMs can this phone send to another phone or emial address?

My friend has one of these and I am going to be getting one soon as well. I plan to have a hookup in my car so I can use this as an MP3 player while driving (Mount, FM modulator, Igo Dual power system, hawt).

My question is according to him the phone won't recognize memory cards larger than 128 mb. I was trying to find out if this is a software limitation (ie we can see edit it) or if it was a hardware limitation (ie we have to live with it). The 128 is good, but for music carrying privleges I would like to be able to upgrade to a 512 or even a 1 gig card if possible so I can carry more music.

Any help/feedback would be appreciated

I replaced my 32mb Memory Stick Duo with a 128mb one. The phone recognizes the 32mb due and the 128mb duo fine.

But the Memory Stick Reader that comes with the 710a will only recognize the 32md duo. I've tried and tried. The Memory Stick Utility will recognize a 'physical device' with an unknown format. I can even format the card that way, but still the Reader does not recognize the 128mb duo, yet the Phone has no problem with it.

It's not a big deal since I can use the card. I'm just wondering if there is something I'm missing or if someone else has seen this behavior.

Has anyone run across any recurring reminders(If you miss a call the phone will keep flashing a red light until you open the phone or press a button. Or, the phone will beep once every few minutes until you open the phone or press a button) on this phone? I've owned several Motorola's and I've gotten used to these features.

Does the 'New Firmware' include either or both of these features?

I just got my phone yesterday(7/18/05)-ordered it from cingular thru my company discount. I was wondering if there is a way to tell if the firmware has been upgraded or how can I tell if I need the upgrade?

WOW I found great bluetooth headset for my mobile phone S710a. It is smallest & light weight. Very easy to put on ear. Sound quality is too good plus found good price eBay (Seller: SUNI or something like that..just search on eBay)

Also pairing was piece of cake..must have for people with bluetooth phone.. in future bluetooth should be must on cell phonee...

Okay, my question...
The worst scratches are on the camera side of the phone, specifically on the part that you slide off to get to the battery. Is there any way I could buy a new battery-door-part? Any information would be great. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi, I used to be pretty active on these boards back before the s710a was released through Cingular. I got my phone, I was happy and I went away. The other day I decided to cruise by here to see what everyone was up to when I noticed all the talk of the long awaited firmware update to fix the slow menus. My hopes rose..... but now I dont know what to do.

Basically, my question is, is there any free way to get the firmware update done to my phone? I called sony tech support yesterday and they said I could pay $37 and send my phone to north carolina for 7-10 days. The combination of $37 and 7-10 days of waiting are unnaceptable to me. Is there any way to get this update either without paying, or instantly, or both?

Hey guys, I just received a firmware upgrade from SE without spending a dime, this is what happened.

I tried recording part of a phone conversation while I was talking to someone on my S710.

When I tried to re-play the sound file it didn't work, I couldn't rename the file and more importantly I couldn't delete it!(I have a past thread about this here somewhere).

I called up SE and explained the problem, they gave me a case number and I sent in my phone. Once I sent it in, I gave them a call back and asked it they could upgrade my firmware while they had the phone and the lady included that note in my case.

When I got my phone back yesterday I had the new firmware installed (although I still get a camera shutter sound). I don'...

i need a free program that i can use to type in contact on my computer, and then bluetooth them over to my phone.

is there anything like that out there?

yo i got the new version of this phone from cingular and now my bluetooth doesnt work nobody can hear me. Do any of you guys have this problem to, how do i fix it?
