Samsung SGH-D500
Will T-mobile carry Samsung D500?
This Samsung D500 supports in GSM 900/1800/1900 bands. So I wonder if T-mobile will carry this phone, since T-mobile has compatible network for this phone.
Also, I doubt about it, I think T-mobile will not have this phone. Because T-mobile rarely upgrades phone that it already has. For examples, T-mobile has the Moto V600 (V620 is an upgrade), Nokia 6600(6620 is an upgrade, in GSM 800/1800/1900), Samsung E715(E800,E810, and E820 are an upgrades, but those phones support in dual bands) Sony Ericsson T610 (T630 is an upgrade)... and other phones. But we have never seen upgrade phones from T-mobile. Except, Samsung E105 (Samsung E315 is an upgrade) and Samsung R225m (Samsung C225 is an upgrade) but T-mobile did not have those phones aft...

For examples...." So theres your answer. Truthfully though no one knows whether TMobile will carry this phone. I'm sure they will but not for another year.

the examples you listed as "upgrades" are nowhere near similar to each other, for example the E800 is NOT comparable to the e715, nor is the e315 comparable to the e105, the 6620 is an ATT/CINGULAR model with EDGE (and the data cable interface, thats the 2 main differences outside of firmware), tmobile isnt going to release an EDGE capable phone before their EDGE network is deployed....so on and so on

It's good to hear that T-mobile will carry this phone. So I don't have to order it from Asia or Euro because I can't get T-zone nor Hifi ringers with Asia or Euro model.

um, why couldnt you get t-zones?

some store would not unlock T-zone, some does. But I have heard that only Nokia and Motorola are easy to download T-zone to the phone

you can send t-zones settings to your phone VIA the TMOBILE site, and they have the settings, for the most part, for the most common phones, both euro and US

it's true i have a samsung d410 which i asked t mobile tech support to send me the MMS and GPRS(T-zones) settings and they did all you have to do ...is ask.

I purchased the Samsung E600 from ebay and, just like temp said, all you do is call T-Mobile and get the t-zones settings. If I remember right, T-mobile had to send me a picture message before I could actually use the T-zones and MMS, but it was not hard. Plus, I can get the HiFi ringers from the website, but I can't anything (wallpapers, ringtones, games) using t-zones on the phone. It tells me that the phone is unsupported. Hope this helps!

You know on second evaluation it might be coming sooner then i thought.... If has been FCC approved then theres a likely chance that it should be released soon (ie within the next 6 months)
