does anyone know if this phone is going to be made with the 850 band?? and will Cingular get this phone?!?!?

No idea if 850 will be supported, but I used mine on Cingular at 1900 ok.
I'd like to see a GSM850 coverage map. That band may be slow to convert from TDMA and AMPS analog. CDMA will always take either A or B side, shame.

the p777 looks to be the cingular version of this phone
I use my d500 on the cingular network and have had no problems so far. A few instances of only 1 or 2 bars, but no complete loss of signal yet.

but the P777 has no speaker phone?!?!?

Who knows for sure if it has a speakerphone option or not...the phone isn't out yet, so I would consider any specs listed on this site as "tenative"

So for you guys using it on Cingular, do you have the functionality of the phone working? Like the browser, email, etc? I'm liking this phone a lot but I also just want to make sure that living in NYC will allow me to use the 1900 band well. Thanks.

the p777 has no spkr but it does have 100 mb internal memory for your mp3/ringtone/photos to share 😕 however the key feature the D500 has over the p777 is BLUETOOTH it is the only samsung phone to carry it.
plus who cares about speaker phone.... its not nextel 🙄 (beep beep) walkie talkies suck, its a phone stupid (beep beep)
