Samsung SGH-D500

Well I called my local T-mobile store today and they told me they will have this phone in channel in 10days. Of course a call to another store resulted in a "we have no idea" hmmmmmmm I wonder....I am so waiting to pull the trigger on this one

can the d500 attact a mmc memory card eg like the n gage or 3300 too play mp3 you need a mmc so you can store tunessss..videos..images...innit... p unit messages.... u herrrddddd meeeee

Does anybody know? I love this phone but not that comfortable with T-Mobile. I would love to use this phone if it works with Cingular.

This Samsung D500 supports in GSM 900/1800/1900 bands. So I wonder if T-mobile will carry this phone, since T-mobile has compatible network for this phone.

Also, I doubt about it, I think T-mobile will not have this phone. Because T-mobile rarely upgrades phone that it already has. For examples, T-mobile has the Moto V600 (V620 is an upgrade), Nokia 6600(6620 is an upgrade, in GSM 800/1800/1900), Samsung E715(E800,E810, and E820 are an upgrades, but those phones support in dual bands) Sony Ericsson T610 (T630 is an upgrade)... and other phones. But we have never seen upgrade phones from T-mobile. Except, Samsung E105 (Samsung E315 is an upgrade) and Samsung R225m (Samsung C225 is an upgrade) but T-mobile did not have those phones aft...

I beleive that the US version of this phone is the Samsung P777. Judging by the press release and other sources. Check out the press release. There is a section that talks about the D500 and P777.

I've seen on some sites that it was supposed to be out today on O2 and others saying that it should be out by the end of the month, also the carphone warehouse says that it's expected in November but it's the 29th today and still there's no sign of it, also none of the network phone shops have any mention of it, anyone have any ideas when it's actually out here in the UK?

Will this be compatible with AT&T wirelss (now Cingular)?

I know at least T-Mobile will cover the phone, not sure any others. OVER an hour of video - over 90 MB. INCREDIBLE.

Is there any update on when this phone will be release in the U.S ? Any who might be the carrier. It sounds like a nice phone if it lives up to everthing they say about it.

I like the little slide samsungs, but would hope to have one for Verizon or Cingular.

I am interested in 2 phones, they are Samsung D500 and Motorola E398. But I am confused and I don't know which phone I am going to get.
I got my Nokia 6230 because I read your review from Nokia 6230's forum and It was really exactly what u said about the phone. I want another phone, I go crazy with new phones. Hope this phone will help me not buying another phone in a year.
So which phone would you recommend to me? Samsung D500 or Motorola E398. Motorola does not have video capture, but Samsung D500. Sungsung D500 does not have voice dialing which is important for bluetooth headset and for my need, but Motorola E398.
